Books - Famous Five → Five on a Treasure island

1st Book of F5 (2004)

Recently, I read the first book of "The Famous Five" written by Enid Blyton. I borrowed it for a week from my friend but it took me 3 days to complete the book.

It's an adventurous story of four clever and brave kids with a very loyal dog. Julian, Dick and Anne are brothers and sisters, Georgina (George) is their cousins, and Timothy (often called 'Tim') the dog which George owns.

The most interesting character is Georgina who hates being a girl, and likes to live like a boy and that's why she calls herself George. When someone calls George as Georgina, she ignores him or her. This might be a warning too!

The three children at first in their summer holidays, go to their Uncle Quentin's house which is at Kirrin Cottage. George shows the children her own island, Kirrin Island. They go and investigate the wrecked ship and search for the "ingots" which is, in real, gold bars! A man wants to buy the island to make a hotel but he finds out about ingots and traps the two children, George and Julian who had just found the ingots. And then it's Dick's turn to rescue them. They then swift back to their Aunt's house and tell the truth, Uncle Quentin who was an arrogant man hears the truth and feels proud of his daughter, then they become rich after obtaining the ingots by calling the police. Finally they have an happy end.

They will go on an another adventure!
They will - but that's another story!
